Bridging Research, Policy, and Practice in Public Health

A public health organisation with over a decade of experience in strengthening health systems and advancing equitable health outcomes.

About Us

Centre for Public Health Protection (CPHP) is an India-based technical public health organisation with over a decade of experience in strengthening health systems and advancing equitable health outcomes.

Founded by a collective of public health professionals, CPHP was established to bridge the gap between public health knowledge and real-world practice. We operate at the intersection of research, programme implementation, and policy—translating evidence into practical, sustainable, and context-specific solutions.

We work closely with government institutions, academic and research organisations, healthcare providers, and communities to generate field-based evidence, strengthen systems, and deliver measurable public health impact across diverse settings.

Our Approach

CPHP’s work is grounded in scientific rigour, field realities, and equity principles. We adopt a practice-to-policy approach that ensures public health interventions are both technically sound and operationally feasible.

Our approach is defined by:

  • Evidence-based and context-specific interventions informed by field realities
  • Community-centred and equity-focused design that fosters ownership and inclusion
  • Collaborative and system-oriented engagement across sectors and institutions
  • Orientation towards sustainable and scalable impact within existing health systems. Our approach ensures interventions are feasible, ethical, and embedded within existing systems.

Our Vision

Equitable, evidence-driven health systems that enable all communities to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

Our Mission

To promote evidence-based public health, strengthen health systems, foster community ownership, and build public health capacity through research, policy engagement, education, and mentorship.
